Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast Celebration

RESCHEDULE ALERT: The MLK Jr Breakfast scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, January 16, 2022 has been rescheduled to Monday, February 20, 2023 due to the worsening weather forecast. Please share this information with anyone who may have been planning to attend. 

The 2023 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast Celebration, co-sponsored by the Greater Bangor Area Branch NAACP and the University of Maine Division of Student Life, will be held on Monday, January 16th in the Wells Conference Center on campus.

The family-friendly event will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King’s service while offering inspiration through diversity and social commitment.  

Breakfast Date: Monday, January 16, 2023 – Doors will open at 8:00 am, and the program will run from 8:30 to 10:30 am.

  1. No pork products will be included in the breakfast.
  2. Groups wishing to purchase an entire table (10 seats, $200) should contact Student Life directly at 207-581-1406 and talk to Brittany. There is a limited number of tables available so early sign-up is recommended.
  3. A very limited number of seats will be available for purchase on the morning of the breakfast. Advanced registration is strongly recommended.
Snow Date: Monday, February 20, 2023 (Presidents Day)
*Snow Date Decision made by 12:00 noon on Friday, January 13, 2023.

Tickets to this event are $20 ($15 for children ages 12 and under. Table sponsorships for organizations and departments are available for $200. Each table has a capacity for ten seats.
