Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast Celebration January 15
The 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast Celebration, co-sponsored by the Greater Bangor Area NAACP and the University of Maine Division of Student Life, will be held on January 15 at Wells Conference Center on campus.
The family-friendly event will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King’s service while offering inspiration through diversity and social commitment.
Doors will open at 8:00 am, and the program will run from 8:30 to 10:30 am. The celebration will feature food, music, a peace writing prize recognition, and a keynote address by Maine Legislative Representative, Craig Hickman.
Tickets are $20 ($15 for children ages 12 and under, and free for undergraduate UMaine students with a valid MaineCard).
