{"id":5373,"date":"2014-08-22T10:18:42","date_gmt":"2014-08-22T14:18:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/umaine.edu\/mitchellcenter\/?p=5373"},"modified":"2014-08-22T10:18:42","modified_gmt":"2014-08-22T14:18:42","slug":"articles-published-in-sustainability-science-journal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/mitchellcenter\/2014\/08\/22\/articles-published-in-sustainability-science-journal\/","title":{"rendered":"Articles Published in Sustainability Science Journal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reseachers Jessica Jansujwicz and Teresa Johnson from the<a href=\"http:\/\/umaine.edu\/mitchellcenter\/renewable-energy-from-the-tides\/\"> Renewable Energy From The Tides<\/a> project published an article, \u201c<em><a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007%2Fs11625-014-0263-7#page-1\">The Maine Tidal Power Initiative: transdisciplinary sustainability science research for the responsible development of tidal power<\/a><\/em>\u201d in the August edition of \u201cSustainability Science\u201d. The article discusses the formation of the Maine Tidal Power Initiative (MTPI), an interdisciplinary team of marine scientists, engineers, oceanographers and social scientists, working to understand the interactions between human and natural systems surrounding the development of tidal power in Maine.<\/p>\n<p>A second article by Mark W. Anderson and the <a href=\"http:\/\/umaine.edu\/mitchellcenter\/knowledge-to-action\/\">K-A Sustainability Behavior<\/a> team of Mario Teisl, Caroline Noblet and Sharon Klein, has been accepted and will be published in an upcoming edition of \u201cSustainability Science\u201d.
