Please consider submitting a poster abstract instead.<\/p>\n<h3><u>Poster Abstracts<\/u><\/h3>\n<p>For 2023, the juried poster competition will include three judging categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Graduate<\/li>\n<li>Undergraduate<\/li>\n<li>High School<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Non-student poster presentations based on appropriate research findings are also accepted for display. Please note that we will not accept posters that are considered advertising. Organizations that wish to advertise should register as exhibitors.<\/p>\n<p>Posters invited for display will address one or more aspects of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Water quality\/quantity.<\/u> These may include chemical, biological, hydrological, and geochemical aspects of surface and ground waters, and their policy and economic implications.<\/li>\n<li><u> Sustainability. <\/u>These may include implementation and evaluation of policies and practices that promote economic development while protecting ecosystem health and fostering community well-being.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Submission Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The submission deadline for poster abstracts is <strong>Monday, March 6, 2023<\/strong>. Abstracts can be <a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/mitchellcenter\/poster-abstract-submission-form-2\/\">submitted online<\/a> or as an email attachment (Microsoft Word document or rtf file) to <a href=\"mailto:umgmc@maine.edu\">umgmc@maine.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Notification of acceptance of poster abstracts for presentation will take place no later than Wednesday, March 8, 2023.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guidelines for Poster Abstracts\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/mitchellcenter\/poster-abstract-submission-form-2\/\">Select online form<\/a> or indicate that this is a poster presentation.<\/li>\n<li>Indicate judging category: graduate, undergraduate, high school, or non-student.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a title that accurately summarizes the subject of the presentation.<\/li>\n<li>Indicate names, affiliations, and emails for all authors<\/li>\n<li>Indicate \u201cpresenting\u201d after the presenting author\u2019s name(s).<\/li>\n<li>If presenting author(s) is a student, indicate &#8220;student&#8221; after name(s).<\/li>\n<li>Provide an abstract not to exceed 250 words.<\/li>\n<li>Abstract should state the purpose, significant results, and main conclusion of work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maine Sustainability &amp; Water Conference Thursday, March 30, 2023 Augusta Civic Center, Augusta, Maine For conference updates, please sign up for our e-newsletter.
