Susanne Lee, faculty fellow at the Mitchell Center, recently spoke to Popular Science about compost management. Lee emphasized that although the environment may not always be on the top of everyone’s mind, saving money probably is. Sending less waste to the dump, and therefore lowering the amount spent on solid waste management saves taxpayers money.
