MSRRF invites proposals for community-based shellfish projects

The Maine Shellfish Restoration and Resilience Fund (MSRRF) recently announced a request for proposals for projects to improve the management and conservation of clam flats and mussel beds in coastal communities.

Applications may be submitted by fishermen, shellfish wardens, town officials, or other stakeholders in partnership with a town or nonprofit. Proposals are due by January 19, 2021. See the MSRRF website for more information and a link to the Request for Proposals.

The MSRRF is part of a collaboration involving the Broad Reach Fund of the Maine Community Foundation, the Maine Shellfish Advisory Council, the UMaine Department of Communication and Journalism and Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions.
