This unique rescue operation involved Danes from all walks of life. Professor Therkel Str\u00e6de will explain the audacious effort and what inspired those involved to take part.<\/p>\n<p>This lecture, sponsored by the Clement and Linda McGillicuddy Humanities Center and part of the 2022-23 symposium on &#8220;Recovery, Rediscovery, and Resilience,&#8221; is free and open to the public and the university community.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Image: Jewish boy from Denmark who has just arrived to the Swedish refugee camp Raml\u00f6sabrunn.
