The MHC&#8217;s Humanities Specialist Karen Sieber will show participants how to use a free, easy-to-use program called Canva to design event flyers, social media posts, brochures, powerpoints, resumes and more. Email mhc@maine.edu for the link to join.\u00a0 No digital skills or design aesthetic needed.<\/p>\n<p>While not a digital humanities tool per se, as humanities events, outreach, and employment move to a virtual format, learning design skills using programs like Canva will allow participants to better promote their events and research and engage with the public.<\/p>\n<p>This event is part of an ongoing &#8220;DH PopIn&#8221; series which introduces students and faculty to easy-to-use tools and methods in the digital realm that help explore and share the humanities in new and exciting ways.
