Come join this one-day workshop for undergrads with guest panelists talking about how they came up with their research questions.\u00a0 Created by\u00a0Stephen E. King Chair of Literature,\u00a0Caroline Bicks<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a one-day conference for humanities undergrads looking for inspiration and guidance on how to come up with a research topic. The day will include panels comprised of: 1) Humanities faculty and graduate students talking about what sparked their research\/creative work and what their research\/creative process looks like; 2) Seniors who have recently completed their theses\/capstone projects talking about their projects.<\/p>\n

The day will include break-out discussions\/info sessions on topics like: 1) How to find and apply for humanities funding; 2) Taking advantage of all that the library and its staff have to offer; 3) Finding an adviser.<\/p>\n

Although Honors students are one target group of participants for this event, it is open to any humanities undergraduates.\u00a0 Please email Caroline Bicks (caroline.bicks@maine.edu<\/a>) if you are interested in attending this event to RSVP. As of April 13, there are a few slots let, so any students interested in participating should contact Caroline Bicks.<\/p>\n
