Sujata Iyengar, Professor of English, University of Georgia, will present a talk on “Shakespeare and Contemporary Cancer Narratives” at 4:00 on Monday February 27 in the Bangor Room, Memorial Union. \u00a0A reception will follow.<\/p>\n

Professor Iyengar is the author of Shakespeare’s Medical Language\u00a0<\/em>( 2014), \u00a0Shades of Difference: Mythologies of Skin Color in Early Modern England<\/em>\u00a0 (2005), and essays in journals such as\u00a0Shakespeare Survey,\u00a0Literature\/Film Quarterly,\u00a0Shakespeare Quarterly,\u00a0Postmodern Culture, <\/em>and\u00a0Medieval and Renaissance Drama in England<\/em>. \u00a0She co-founded and edits the award-winning \u00a0online, multimedia, scholarly journal Borrowers and Lenders: The Journal of Shakespeare and Appropriation<\/em>, and edited a collection on Disability, Health, and Happiness in the Shakespearean Body<\/em> (2015).\u00a0Her current project is a study of Shakespeare and the Art of the Book.<\/p>\n
