Coping Templates

Below are video links to youtube.com and an explanation to see how the coping templates are used. This is done so the cut tubes will easily fit together.

• Transferring the Template to the tube

Cut out the template so it looks as shown. Rap the template around the tube and draw the outline on the tube using a black marker. Measure to the other end of the tube the specified distance and wrap the other template at that distance. Draw the outline of this template on the tube.

• Cutting the Template

With a plasma cutter cut the tube on the marked line. Move the tube to the second mark and cut again on the marked line. Caution this will be hot!

• Grinding the ends clean

After using the plasma cutter you are left with extremely rough ends, these need to be ground and finished.
