Statewide Research Symposium on Biomedical Science and Engineering on October 13, 14 and 15, 2022

The University of Maine’s Institute of Medicine announces the First Annual Statewide Research Symposium on Biomedical Science and Engineering planned for October 13, 14 and 15, 2022.

The University of Maine, University of New England, Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory, Jackson Laboratory, the Roux Institute, Northern Light Healthcare and Maine Health are sponsoring a statewide research symposium covering biomedical sciences and engineering scheduled for October of 2022.

The symposium will highlight the diverse and state of art work being carried out in Maine’s public and private academic institutions, healthcare systems and private industry as it relates to biological and physiological disciplines, medicine, biomedical engineering and data science. The event will take place at the University of New England Innovation Hall in Portland, Maine.

Authors are invited to submit an abstract of no longer than 300 words.

Regular deadline:  June 30, 2022

Student deadline: September 1, 2022

Please see the announcement and call for abstracts for the Maine Biomedical Research Symposium that is being organized for this October. This symposium will complement and augment the upcoming 49th annual Maine Biological and Medical Sciences Symposium (MBMSS), by showcasing Maine’s rapidly expanding network of research scientists and institutions engaged in biomedical research, including in the clinical and engineering fields. Additional details, including a preliminary program, are coming soon.
