across multiple disciplines at the University of Maine and invites participation from research and educational institutions across Maine and beyond.&nbsp; The center was founded in 2019 as part of the sustainability and statewide-impact objectives of the $20 million NSF EPSCoR RII Track 1 project&nbsp;<em>Molecule to Ecosystem: Environmental DNA as a Nexus of Coastal Ecosystem Sustainability for Maine (<a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/edna\/\">Maine-eDNA<\/a>),&nbsp;<\/em>and includes the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/core\/biotechnology\/\">University of Maine eDNA Service
