Wordmark Logos

University of Maine wordmarks utilize university colors PMS 292, PMS 289 and white. All wordmarks are trademarked and include a small TM beside the art.

As with all university logos, art may not be modified, distorted or redesigned in any way.

Wordmarks are considered secondary art, and when used, the University of Maine must be spelled out someplace on the communication, merchandise, or in the publication or product using this art. These marks are intended to represent school spirit and the emotional connection we feel for nonacademic University of Maine activities. The wordmarks can be used in conjunction with the MAINE Bear logo.

Please note:

Any instance related to the university’s overarching teaching, research and service mission that does not involve school spirit as defined above (e.g., academic events, research posters, name badges, commencement robes, etc.) requires the use of the Full Crest logo or the MAINE crest logo. Secondary logos are not appropriate for these kinds of items.
