Killam Fellowships

The Killam Fellowships Program provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to spend either one semester or a full academic year as an exchange student at a Canadian university.

The program provides students with a scholarship of $5,000 per semester. The program also offers funding for insurance and in-country educational travel. Students may participate in the program either as a direct exchange student or as a self-placed visiting student.

Benefits:

  • $5,000 USD per semester award 
  • Funding to offset some of the cost of health insurance for the time abroad
  • Ability to apply for an $600 mobility grant to help fund an in-country educational trip during the time abroad

Eligibility:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student at an accredited U.S. institution
