Fulbright U.S. Student Program Writing Workshop

May 24, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Created by the U.S. Congress in 1946, the Fulbright Program seeks to promote mutual understanding among nations through educational and cultural exchanges

Open Study/Research Awards: A candidate designs a research proposal for a specific country, or applies to earn a degree in a host country.

English Teaching Assistant Awards: Grantees are placed in schools overseas to supplement local English language instruction and to provide a native speaker presence in the classrooms.

The Office of Major Scholarships is hosting a week long Fulbright workshop for students interested in applying! From 12:00 – 1:30 on May 22-26th, we will gather as a group to brainstorm and write personal statements as well as statements of grant purpose.

While we’d love to build an in-person cohort of Fulbright applicants, we understand many students will be off campus by the end of May. For that reason, the event will be in a hybrid form, with the in-person meeting location of Estabrooke 152. We ask that all interested in participating register here.
