Author Monica Wood to deliver keynote address at the Maine Writing Project’s annual conference

The Maine Writing Project annual conference will be held November 8 at the University of Maine’s Hutchinson Center in Belfast.

Maine writer Monica Wood will deliver the keynote address, titled “The Pen is Mightier: Teaching and Writing for Change.” Wood is a novelist, memoirist and playwright, whose most recent novel, The One-in-a-Million Boy, has been published in 22 languages in 30 countries, and won a 2017 Nautilus Award (Gold) and the New England Society Book Award.

In addition to the annual conference, participants have the opportunity to attend an evening with the author on November 7 at the Fireside Inn in Belfast.
