Northern Maine Summer Institute
The Maine Writing Project will be offering the Northern Maine Institute in Teaching & Writing this summer. The institute is an opportunity to look closely at your own writing as well as student writing, talk with colleagues about ideas and issues in the teaching of writing, examine national trends and ongoing research initiatives, and share classroom practices.
The Institute involves four days in the Presque Isle region August 8, 9, 10, and 11 in addition to online participation through the fall 2011 semester. The class will meet together again in the Presque Isle region on Saturday, November 12 and December 10. The exact location of the summer and fall meetings will be finalized closer to the summer.
