Registration Open for a Tufts-sponsored 18 week Sexual Health and Education Course for Teens with Autism

Hello, my name is Xihan Yang, and I am a graduate research assistant for Dr. Eileen Crehan’s lab at Tufts University.

In our lab, we are currently studying a sexuality education program that developed specifically for teenagers with autism spectrum disorder. We are looking for participants between 13 to 17 years old, with a diagnosis of autism spectrum/Asperger’s syndrome to take our 18-week course sessions. Their caregivers/guardians will need to consent for them in a 60-to-90-min screening appointment and complete several online questionnaires on the topics of participants’ previous sexuality experiences, daily behaviors and friendships. It is intended to help us better understand the participants and prepare future course sessions for them. All responses will be kept confidential, and participants will be compensated with a $40 Amazon e-gift card for their time.

If you know of anyone who would be interested in participating in our study at your organization, feel free to post or forward the attached flyer.

Please feel free to contact the lab or Dr. Crehan to register or with any questions.
