MAFES will continue to pay for traditional page charges or for open access to publications associated with MAFES projects but not for both. MAFES will fund publication charges up to $1500. We expect to be able to allocate a total of $20K per year for publications, with $10K allocated in each of two application cycles each year. <strong>Submission deadlines will be updated quarterly.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeNIhY25w76Wc7vyGkjrhIS2GTyoZ26HK5jyXE2YJHoWwGX7Q\/viewform?usp=sf_link\">Application for MAFES Publication Funding<\/a> \u2013 Second quarter submissions will be reviewed starting March 2<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/mafes\/resource\/publication-program\/\">Publication Program Policy<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/umainesystem.sharepoint.com\/sites\/UM-NSFA\/Shared%20Documents\/Forms\/AllItems.aspx?id=%2Fsites%2FUM%2DNSFA%2FShared%20Documents%2FELH%5FLibrary%2Dof%2DPolicies%2Dand%2DProcedures%2FCollege%20%26%20Station%20Facilities%2FExperiment%20Station%20Research%20Facilities%2FPublication%20policy%2FExternalPublicationRegister%2Epdf&amp;viewid=cc680195%2Ddb71%2D4e19%2D8921%2D6b63d27c2e15&amp;parent=%2Fsites%2FUM%2DNSFA%2FShared%20Documents%2FELH%5FLibrary%2Dof%2DPolicies%2Dand%2DProcedures%2FCollege%20%26%20Station%20Facilities%2FExperiment%20Station%20Research%20Facilities%2FPublication%20policy\">External Publication Register<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Acknowledgements <\/strong>\u2013 The acknowledgements section of the publication must include the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nifa.usda.gov\/grants\/regulations-and-guidelines\/acknowledgment-usda-support-nifa\">USDA-NIFA acknowledgement and disclaimer statements<\/a>: <em>\u201cThis work is supported by the [Hatch, Hatch Multistate, McIntire-Stennis, or Animal Health and Disease], project award no.
