SUMMARY:Heavy Metal at Maine Forest and Logging Museum
DESCRIPTION:Heavy Metal is our event focussed on the machines. In the 1900s era area\, Lombards ply the roads\, and the mills in the Mill Yard churn out boards and shingles. Guest demonstrators bring in their machines. Down the hill in the Colonial era of the grounds\, several blacksmiths tend their forges and give guests a chance to try their hands at blacksmithing. The Water-powered Sawmill is running\, and the bean hole beans are being served–along with biscuits. Fiber artists demonstrate their craft in the Sawyer’s House.
