Donate Your Boat
If your boat is on its mooring or in storage more than you actually use it, or if you think the cost of upkeep and fees just aren’t worth it anymore but you don’t want to go through the time and aggravation of trying to sell it, here’s the solution:
Donate your boat to the Lobster Institute!
Here’s what’s in it for you:
You get the satisfaction of knowing your donation supports the research, technical assistance, and educational outreach that the Lobster Institute does on behalf of the lobster industry. We work for and with fishermen and all sectors of the industry to ensure a healthy and profitable lobster fishery and preserve a way of life that is embedded into the culture and history of lobstering communities throughout New England and the Canadian Maritime.
Your donation is tax deductible. We’ll work with you and your tax consultant to make sure you get the most favorable tax benefit allowed by law.
What we need:
- Lobster boats are always welcomed for use as research vessels for Lobster Institute projects, or may be sold for much needed revenue. Please, only boats is working order.
