LGBTQ Services and the Rainbow Resource Center

LGBTQ Services and The Rainbow Resource Center (RRC) is open to everyone. Homophobia, heterosexism, and transphobia may negatively affect people regardless of their personal identities. Challenging and confronting oppression is vital in a learning environment.

Our resources and services include:

  • A Staff Associate that supports LGBTQ Services
  • A resource center staffed by a Graduate Assistant and trained student employees
  • A resource center with a welcoming and supportive environment and community for LGBTQ people and allies
  • Books, videos, periodicals, and a computer for use in the RRC
  • Educational presentations and training workshops on a large variety of LGBTQ issues
  • Referrals, resources, and information on LGBTQ issues and concerns
  • Campus-wide LGBTQ-themed education programs and social events including guest performances and speakers, Coming Out Week, Gay Thanksgiving, Pride Week, and more
  • Brochures and pamphlets that address issues and concerns of LGBTQ people, their families, and allies
  • Information for incoming students and their families
