class=\"kt-blocks-info-box-text\">Master&#8217;s Graduate Student<br><a href=\"mailto:hannah.e.jacobs@maine.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hannah.e.jacobs@maine.edu<\/a><br>Hannah joined the Kerr lab in the fall of 2025. She is broadly interested in&nbsp;adaptive stock assessment frameworks,&nbsp;management strategy evaluation, the integration of&nbsp;ecological variability&nbsp;and&nbsp;local knowledge&nbsp;into assessment models.&nbsp;Her current research for her master&#8217;s thesis focuses on working with dynamic reference points for data-limited and model-resistant stocks along with evaluating empirical approaches in a changing ecosystem.&nbsp;<br>Prior to the University of Maine, Hannah graduated with her B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of New England (2024). During her time there, she did research on plankton identification in the Saco River&nbsp;Estuary\/Biddeford Pool using the FlowCam, which uses&nbsp;high-resolution imaging to identify and quantify plankton&nbsp;species. After undergrad, she continued her education&nbsp;at the Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science in Miami. She received her MPS with high&nbsp;honors in Fisheries Management and Conservation (2025).
