Gifts to support Judaic Studies at UMaine may allow you to take a charitable deduction on your income tax return.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The Judaic Studies program was created by Norman Minsky and continues to offer courses on Judaism, modern Hebrew, Jewish history and antisemitism and more, taught by Rabbi William Siemers, Rabbi Darah Lerner, Shellie Batuski, and others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Your contribution to the <\/span>Judaic Studies Enhancement Fund<\/b> by the end of 2021 will enable us to provide professional development for faculty, as well as to offer public programs such as Maine Poet Laurate Stuart Kestenbaum speaking on the Jewish influences on his poetry (February 8<\/span>th<\/span> 2022, at 7:00 pm) and Phillip Silver\u2019s presentation and performance \u201cSounds from Silence: Rescuing Music Suppressed by the Nazis\u201d on Yom HaShoah (April 27<\/span>th<\/span> 2022 at 7:00 pm in Minsky Hall at the University of Maine).<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re counting on you to be our Hanukkah Heros!<\/span><\/p>\n
