The University of Maine’s Department of Information Technologies (IT) is committed to providing and supporting the highest quality technology-based services for faculty, staff, and students.
As the University’s central technology support agency, IT strives to perform in the most timely and cost effective manner. IT supports the University’s land-grant and sea-grant mission of creating and disseminating knowledge to improve the lives of its students and Maine citizens through teaching, basic and applied research, and public service activities. IT is also responsible for coordinating technology services provided to the University of Maine campus by the University of Maine System.
Information Technologies, in conjunction with the IT Advisory Council, will develop sound policy for the management of technology; address the needs of academic, administrative, and research users of technology; and provide ongoing planning for technology to meet the changing needs of the University.
