Updates to Computer Setup Service

The UMaine IT Support Services staff is working to enhance and streamline how it provides computer setup support for University-purchased computing equipment and devices. Computers are setup based on a standard configuration, and user-specified applications are installed. Support staff will make certain the new equipment is fully functional, and that the user can access resources needed to perform job responsibilities. Additionally,  data from the previous computers will be backed-up and support staff can transfer files to the new computer, Google Drive, or Box as requested. To request computer setup assistance, please contact UMaine IT Support Services at 581-2506  or email um.itsupport@maine.eduIn the coming months, it will be possible for faculty and staff to select 17 Shibles as the Ship To address in Marketplace, so new equipment will be delivered directly to the IT Support Services Center.
