Orientation Leaders & Volunteers Needed!!
The Office of International Programs will recruit 2-3 Fall 2018 Orientation Leaders and an unlimited number of Orientation Volunteers. Both positions require individuals who have good communication skills, a friendly disposition and have a sincere desire to help new international students integrate into the UMaine community by assisting OIP staff with a variety of New International Student Orientation events.
Orientation Leader positions for 2018 have been filled. Orientation Volunteer applications are still being accepted. Please fill out the form below and select the volunteer option, if you would still like to participate.
Orientation Leaders are are paid positions limited to about 20 hours over the duration of the Orientation program (August 28-31).
Orientation Leaders must be current University of Maine students in good standing and meet the following criteria:
- Fully available during Orientation dates (August 28-31).
- Available during the week of August 20 for 2-4 hours of training (applicants who are not available for the training will still be considered but will have to schedule an alternate training date with OIP).
Orientation Volunteers are unpaid and have a more flexible schedule. Volunteers can sign up for one activity or several.
