Submission of Financial Documents for Current Students

Please follow the directions below to submit updated financial documents when requesting a new I-20.

It is required by U.S immigration laws and by the University of Maine that students show evidence of their financial ability whenever a new I-20 needs to be issued. To do so, sponsors can upload a recent financial document (must be dated less than 6 months ago) and a signed Affidavit of Support.

Acceptable financial documents include bank statements or bank letters, issued on official bank paper or letterhead, showing the account owner’s name, date of issue, and currency.  The financial document must be issued less than 6 months ago.
