Faculty Recommendation for Academic Training
One of your advisees is in the process of requesting authorization to engage in Academic Training under 22CFR 514.23(f)(5) of the Department of State Immigration Regulations pertaining to J-1 Exchange Visitors. Academic Training is employment authorization given for a student to gain experience in his/her field of study. It may be paid or unpaid. As part of his/her application process the student needs you to provide information about the position and to certify that you are recommending him/her for this training experience.
