The Hudson Museum extends its gratitude to the Maine Antique Dealers Association<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A generous Maine Antique Dealers Association Education and Community Service grant supported the Hudson Museum\u2019s recent purchase of these five Mi’kmaq and Penobscot crooked knives. These crooked knives greatly enhance the Hudson Museum\u2019s Maine Native American collections and are exhibited in a new gallery installation which opened in December 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Credits<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The exhibit Crooked Knives: Tools of the Trade<\/em>was funded by a grant from the Cultural Affairs Committee which administers the Arthur R. Lord Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crooked knives featured in the exhibit were loaned by Kim and Brenda Cartwright and Nancy and Roger Prince and were collected in Maine and Atlantic Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crooked Knives: Tools of the Trade<\/em>was researched and curated by Gretchen F. Faulkner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
