Step 2: Pick a main syllable<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Say your name out loud a few times and figure out which syllable has the stress on it.  For example, if you say the name “Amanda” you stress the second syllable: aMANda (you don’t say amanDA, you put the stress on the “man” part of the name).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are our examples with the stressed syllables in bold:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amanda becomes A-ma<\/strong>-n(a)-da<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benjamin becomes Be<\/strong>-n(e)-ja-mi-n(i)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kristen becomes K(a)-ri<\/strong>-ste-n(e)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Don’t stress (ha!) if you have trouble with this part.  You can also simply choose a syllable near the beginning or middle of your name to form the core of your glyph block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
