The International Honor Society in History Each Spring, the department inducts outstanding undergraduate and graduate students of History into Phi Alpha Theta. The UM chapter (Phi Gamma) was established in 1972. An initiation fee is levied prior to induction. New members are entered on the rolls of the chapter and the international society and receive
