Using Zoom in your Classroom

Zoom is a video and web conferencing software that shares many of the features of Adobe Connect, allows you to record your sessions, and even transfer these recording directly to our new video streaming platform Kaltura. Faculty can use Zoom to manage the synchronous components of their online courses, hold virtual office hours, and promote virtual student collaboration.

 

This workshop will support faculty teaching with Zoom. We will explore how to set up your Zoom account, schedule meetings, share content, create groups, record and share your video using Kaltura, and setting up Zoom in Blackboard.

 

For UMaine Online faculty, if you have not done so already, you must request a license for Zoom for the Spring 2018 semester.

 

We will hold this training session using Zoom. You must have Zoom downloaded and installed on your computer.  We will send instructions on how to do this and an invitation to the meeting shortly before the session.
