Graduate Assistant Health Insurance GA/TA Policy for Domestic Students
To qualify for the GA/TA plan, students must be working at least 20 hours a week for their graduate assistantship
Domestic graduate assistants, fellows, and trainees are NOT eligible for SHIP and should waive out by October 1.
When the graduate assistant appointment form has been processed by the Graduate School, the GA/TA insurance charge will be automatically applied to the student account. GA’s will then receive an email with instructions on how to either waive out or enroll in the plan.
