Development of an Accurate and Real‐Time Voice Simulator for Voice Disorders Laboratory: Complex Flow Modeling and Simulation Laboratory Faculty: Qian Xue Opening Type: Two PhD/MS Students Topics: Computational Fluid Dynamics, Flow‐Tissue Interaction, Reduced‐Order Modeling, Voice Production Description: Professor Qian Xue is seeking two motivated students interested in pursuing a PhD/MS degree for a project entitled “Development of an Accurate and Real-Time Voice Simulator for Voice Disorders.” The students will work on developing a reduced‐order flow model to simulate glottal aerodynamics in various irregular glottal configurations characterized by severely curved, asymmetric and multiple‐flow-channel shapes.
