Upcoming CITL Workshops: Using Zoom in Teaching

You may have seen the recent announcement that the University of Maine will soon be adopting Zoom web-conferencing technologies for students, staff and faculty starting in Fall 2018.  Zoom will be replacing Adobe Connect.  We are reaching out to you because you are currently using or have used Adobe Connect in your teaching.
To help prepare you for this transition, CITL will continue to offer ongoing workshops on how to use Zoom in your teaching. These workshops will review how to set up meetings, use the features of Zoom to to foster student collaboration, integrate Zoom with Blackboard and Kaltura and more.  June and July dates are listed below, please feel free to register for these events – they are held virtually using Zoom, so you can join in from any location.
CITL also offers one-on-one help with Zoom with issues related to teaching  – you can drop-in between 8-4:30 Mon-Fri (102 Fernald Hall), call 1-3333 or email citl@maine.edu with questions.
UMaine Online students can reach out to UMaine Online support – the staff there are ready to support UMaine Online students using Zoom.
For students, staff and faculty wanting to learn more about how to use Zoom outside the classroom, IT will provide general training and support in the coming weeks.
Thank you!
