Are you a Maine woodland owner of 10-1,000 acres? We are looking for volunteers to collect ticks on their properties in York, Kennebec, and Cumberland Counties.<\/p>\n
We will train and mail you all the supplies you need to collect ticks on your woodland property. You will collect ticks using a drag cloth three times during the month of July and fill out a questionnaire about your property. We will test your ticks for pathogens, including the bacterium that causes Lyme disease, and send you the results. This will help us understand the tick borne disease risks across Southern Maine and better help you understand the tick hazards on your personal property.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
