Dr. Causey recognized for creating positive learning experiences for nontraditional students

Commuter and Non Traditional Student Programs has announced that Dr. Robert Causey is being recognized as a faculty member who has contributed to creating positive learning experiences for nontraditional students at the University of Maine.   He was nominated by Victoria Sorrentino, a nontraditional student in the Animal and Veterinary Sciences Program.

This award is offered by Commuter and NonTraditional Student Programs and The Nontraditional Student Association to an UMaine faculty/staff member who has shown sensitivity to the diverse learning styles and the multifaceted lives of nontraditional undergraduate students. Through his student interactions, teaching and program design, Dr. Causey has demonstrated recognition of the rich contributions that nontraditional students make to the University of Maine. He has created positive learning experiences for nontraditional undergraduate students and has provided support, assistance and/ or advocacy for the nontraditional students at the University of Maine. He interacts positively with nontraditional students and supports their student experience.  Dr. Causey will be recognized at the Non Traditional Student Graduation Breakfast on Thursday, May 3, 2018
