Position Available: Lecturer in Landscape Design and Academic Program Coordinator

The University of Maine School of Food and Agriculture seeks candidates for a full-time, 9 month lecturer position. The candidate will teach courses in landscape design, construction, and management and will coordinate the field experience class and a first year student orientation. In addition to teaching responsibilities primarily for the Environmental Horticulture program (ENH), the candidate will serve as program coordinator for both the ENH and Sustainable Agriculture programs. The ENH program offers a diverse curriculum with concentrations in landscape design, horticultural business, sustainable horticulture, and turfgrass. The ENH program emphasizes design and management of landscapes using plant materials adapted to northern growing conditions and also emphasizes sustainability and environmental issues. Applicants will be reviewed starting Dec. 12, 2016.
