Renovations Now Complete!

The Maine Folklife Center, with support from UMaine Provost’s Office and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, has undergone a major renovation. The new space features offices, a seminar and meeting room, workspace for Maine Studies faculty and students, and a new podcasting production studio.

In addition, the McGillicuddy Humanities Center will have office space for its Director and shared space for programs within the suite, which is adjacent to the Department of Anthropology on the first floor of South Stevens Hall.

The Folklife Center will have an Open House on Friday, October 13th, as part of the university’s Homecoming Weekend activities. Our doors will be open to the public, and informal tours offered by the director, from 1-4 pm on the 13th. We invite all members, supporters, and others to stop by for a visit, share refreshments, and see what the new space looks like.

For more information, please contact the Director, Kreg Ettenger, or by phone at 207.581.1840.
