Jules Hathaway of Veazie, Maine is earning their master\u2019s degree in Student Development in Higher Education this month at the age of 73. Hathaway moved to Maine in the 1980s to pursue graduate work at UMaine, but put their studies on hold to raise three kids with their husband. All of their children graduated with multiple degrees from UMaine, inspiring Jules to return to the university and complete their graduate studies. Jules was on track to graduate from the higher education program in May 2024, but suffered a stroke in 2023 that impacted their mobility and brain function.
