Bio: Prior to becoming executive director of PREP in 2016, Elaine Bartley spent four years as director of instruction, curriculum and assessment for MSAD #4 in Guilford, Maine. Before that she was an independent educational technology consultant.
As a consultant, Elaine worked with school systems and teachers all over Maine. She has consulted on or led a variety of projects including school-based task-force or curriculum committees, grant writing and co-directorship, technology integration projects, the statewide MISTM (Maine’s Impact Study of Technology in Mathematics) project, and the MLTI (Maine Learning Technology Initiative) professional development initiative. She has also assisted the Virginia Department of Education with Academic Reviews in their under-achieving schools and served as a trainer for the Gates sponsored Technology Leadership grants in Maine, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
In addition to consulting, she has served as adjunct faculty at both the University of Maine and UMaine Farmington, teaching undergraduate and graduate level technology integration courses.
