Ashley Russell is the outstanding student in elementary education for 2020. Ashley hails from Alfred, Maine and was involved in a variety of philanthropy events as an undergrad.

Every person I’ve had the pleasure of knowing at UMaine has helped me become the person I am today, and I am so thankful for all the experiences I had with them.
Favorite UMaine memory: My favorite memory from the University of Maine would have to be the many philanthropy events I attended or planned myself. For a community that gives us so much, it’s important to remember to give back as well.
