Hello! My name is Andrea, but a lot of people call me Dre – I am comfortable with either. I was born and raised in the small town of Bristol, Rhode Island. I completed my undergrad at Roger Williams University, also in Bristol, Rhode Island. I am very happy to have a beautiful change of scenery here in Maine, but I definitely miss the ocean! I love to travel, adventure and explore new places. I love longboarding, playing the guitar, and being lazy and chilling in my hammock on a warm day. I am a lover of all sorts of music!
What has been your most embarrassing moment?
I once accompanied my mom to a school PTA meeting when I was in elementary school. I got up to use the restroom during the middle of the meeting and when I came back I looked for my mom in the crowd of other parents and adults.
My mom was wearing a lovely bright red sweater that night so I was able to distinguish where she was sitting. I walked up behind her and put my arms around her neck and gave her a hug and a nice kiss on the cheek – I was a really cuddly kid! Only to my horror, the woman in red was not my mom, but some other lady in a very identical sweater! My mom was staring at me from a couple of rows away with a funny look on her face before bursting out laughing. The woman I cuddled was surprised, but accepting of my affection, thankfully! Safe to say that was my first and last PTA meeting.
What is your favorite comfort food?
Chips and fresh salsa!
If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?
This is a difficult one – there is are a lot of places on my bucket list! I guess what takes the top is going to Austria to see the edelweiss flower. Japan is a close second, though!
Your favorite quote….
“A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly… if you have good thoughts, they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” – Roald Dahl
