Commuter and Non-Traditional Student Programs (CNTSP) is here to help you through your collegiate career! Here are some of the programs we have offered:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3>First Friday Bagels<\/h3>\n<p>Every first Friday of the month, starting at 8:00 AM in the Commuter Lounge, we serve free coffee and bagels. This event is sponsored by both\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/cntsp\/studentorgs\/\">CANS<\/a>\u00a0(UM Student Government Board) and CNTSP.<\/p>\n<h3>Commuter Student Week<\/h3>\n<p>This annual week-long event is held each Fall.\u00a0 Activities include a free lunch for commuter students and lunch time sessions on topics such as winter driving, time management and renters&#8217; rights and responsibilities.<\/p>\n<h3>Non-traditional Student Week<\/h3>\n<p>Annual week-long event typically held during spring semester, hosting events catered to UMaine&#8217;s non-traditional student body. These range from family-friendly movie nights to discussions centered around non-traditional student involvement on campus.<\/p>\n<h3>Maine Day Project<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"655\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-655 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/umaine.edu\/cntsp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/47\/2013\/05\/IMAG0121-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Commuters cleaning the bus stop for Maine Day service project \" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Maine Day Service Project<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Commuter students give back to the campus and community on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/studentlife\/maineday\/\">Maine Day<\/a>\u00a0by cleaning the bus stop outside the Memorial Union.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Quiet Study Room<\/h3>\n<p>CNTSP provides a quiet study space in Memorial Union\u00a0 each semester during the last week of classes and the week of finals.<\/p>\n<p>CNTSP also co-sponsors a number of<a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/cntsp\/studentorgs\/\"> regular programs with the two student organizations (CANS &amp; NSA)<\/a> that represent commuter and non-traditional students.\u00a0 These include pancake breakfasts, Family movie and pizzas, and more.<\/p>\n<h3>Advisory Board<\/h3>\n<p>CNTSP organizes a Non-traditional Student Programs Advisory Board of non-traditional students as well as faculty and staff who work closely with non-traditional students. This board meets several times each semester, reviews services and makes suggestions for programs and services that would assist UMaine non-traditional students.
