The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) provides support for innovative pedagogical efforts and promotes excellent teaching and learning at the University of Maine.<\/p>\n

Together with our partner centers and departments on campus, we work to create and sustain a culture of innovation in teaching. To this end, we offer workshops and personalized consulting on curricular and instructional design, educational software, technologies for instruction, and related efforts to support 21st Century information and learning cultures.<\/p>\n

\u00a0CITL\u2019s services have grown since its launch in 2016-2017 to meet the ever-increasing needs of UM\/UMM faculty. CITL now provides support in five general areas:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Faculty educational development programming<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Instructional design and development<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Faculty instructional technology support<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n
  4. The Hackerspace<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Planning, deploying, and\/or managing physical and virtual instructional environments<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In all areas, CITL supports instructors of every rank, including graduate students, part-time faculty, lecturers, pre-tenure, and tenured faculty. It also supports faculty teaching face-to-face, online, hybrid, synchronous, asynchronous, or any other modality and at any time of year. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
