SUMMARY:Improving your grading workflow with Gradescope
DESCRIPTION:Virtual Training\n\n \n  \n  \nGradescope was designed to allow faculty to include more diverse assessments with improved feedback while saving time on grading.  It provides capacity in larger classes where assessments beyond multiple choice can be challenging at scale. However\, for any size class it can improve the efficiency and quality of your grading for both paper (e.g. in class quizzes or exams\, worksheets\, reflections) or online assessments. \nDuring this overview\, we will walk through the tool and discuss how you can save time with grading\, expand your assessment types and improve feedback and learning data. \nThis is a virtual workshop.  Zoom information will be provided to registered participants.

SUMMARY:Role clarity and boundaries in teaching
DESCRIPTION:In-Person Program\n\n \nFaculty are asked to serve many roles at times moving between instructor\, counselor\, mentor\, friend\, advocate and more. The boundaries as to what is and what is not one’s responsibility can blur.  Are all of these our responsibilities as faculty? How do we know? Developing a scope of practice\, a common practice in healthcare\, can be a way to better identify boundaries as educators. During this reflective discussion\, based on the work of Karen Costa\, we will explore and develop our own scope of practice as educators as a way to guide work life towards greater balance and clarity.   \nPlease register below as space may be limited!  \n
