DESCRIPTION:The English Department and The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning are excited to welcome Dr. Lesley Bartlett\, Assistant Professor of English and Interim Director of ISUComm Foundation Courses at Iowa State University\, to share her wisdom and practices with faculty and graduate students at UMaine.\nPedagogy as Invitation: Starting the New Semester in Alignment\nHow might instructors communicate our pedagogical values to students more clearly and consistently\, and what difference might doing so make in our classes? Offered by a writing and rhetoric specialist\, this workshop invites instructors from across disciplines to consider the extent to which our pedagogical performances align with our values and make small changes that could have big impacts for students and instructors alike.
