DESCRIPTION:In-person \nThe Graduate Teaching Academy (GTA) is a catalyst for successful undergraduate teaching where students can explore the transferable skills of teaching\, bringing their experience beyond the classroom\, and is open to ALL Graduate Students who are interested in preparing for careers that involve teaching\, inside and outside of academia. The GTA is a place for learning more about effective\, evidence-based teaching practices and strategies. \nOur core meetings will be every other WEDNESDAY from 12 pm – 1:30 pm\, and lunch will be included for those registered and accepted. \n*Acceptance into the Academy means a commitment to attend all 8 of the required meetings for the Graduate Teaching Academy and completion of the required materials. \nFind out more about dates\, times\, and requirements here. \nKnow you are interested?  Apply here (opens in new window). \n

DESCRIPTION:The Digital Equity & E-Inclusion Community of Practice (DECoP) will bring together faculty interested in supporting\, exploring\, and cultivating a digital equity practice. Over the semester\, participants will work on an aspect of their course to address through the lens of digital equity. Participants commit to the semester long program when you register (opens in a new window) \nMeeting Dates and Topics \nSeptember 8th – Introduction & What is UDL? \nSeptember 22nd – Personas and how we use them. \nOctober 6th  – Your syllabus as a teaching tool. \nOctober 20th  – Integrating and applying UDL/UDI to content. \nNovember 3rd – Integrating and applying UDL/UDI to assessments and activities. \nNovember 17th – Transparency for your students. \nDecember 1st – Feedback and iteration. \nDecember 15th – Faculty presentations and peer review.
